- Review and approve designs, calculations, and cost estimates.
- Study new machinery, assemblies, subassemblies, subsystems and facilities and recommend or select efficient combinations.
- Optimizing new systems and upgrades to existing processes and facilities.
- Ensure quality of new and revised drawings, BoMs and specifications applying industry processes, standards and best practices.
- Determining feasibility of designing/engineering new systems or modifying existing facilities for Project Plan, considering costs, available space, time limitations, company planning, contract fees and other technical and economic factors.
- Participate directly in the design, development and inspection of technical projects or in the engineering work of company.
- Performing engineering assignments related to design and analysis for packaging equipment and line systems.
- Perform quality control inspections on mechanical installations, equipment, and systems to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
- Conduct regular audits of mechanical work processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality procedures and best practices.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to develop and implement quality control plans and procedures specific to mechanical works.
- Review mechanical design drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct pre-inspection meetings with contractors and other stakeholders to communicate quality control requirements and expectations.
- Monitor the installation and testing of mechanical systems to ensure compliance with approved plans and specifications.
- Perform inspections and tests on mechanical equipment, materials, and components to verify their compliance with applicable standards and specifications.
- Document and report non-conformities, deviations, and deficiencies in mechanical installations and equipment and recommend corrective actions.
- Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to address quality issues and implement preventive measures.
- Directly coordinating with the contractors regarding project activities such as the construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and client’s requirements.
- Carry out research into the feasibility, design, operation and performance of mechanisms, components and systems.
- Prepare material, cost and timing estimates, reports and design specifications for machinery and systems.
- Design, develop and carry out time studies and work simplification programs.
- Carry out studies of the reliability and performance of plant facilities and production.
- Supervise and inspect the installation, modification and commissioning of mechanical systems at construction sites or in industrial facilities.
- Develop maintenance guidelines, schedules and programs.
- Working with maintenance teams to develop and implement preventative maintenance processes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to mechanical quality control.
- Participate and support technical problem solving in the team.
- Investigate mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance problems.
- Develop and carry out policies, standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed.
- Carry out studies and put into use programs to determine the best inventory levels for production, and the best use of machinery, materials and resources.
- Create programs and carry out studies to improve industrial health and safety or to identify and correct fire and other hazards.
- Analyzing as-is project specifications and system performance requirements to determine the designs/engineering which can be produced by existing facilities and methods.
